Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Bar Supervisor to oversee our vibrant bar operations. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our bar.

Responsibilities:

General

Ongoing training of the bar team. Incentivise, motivate and encourage staff. Build repeat business through exceptional service standards. Maximise sales opportunities through promotion of upselling Product knowledge of all wet Stock control Cash handling. Staff discipline and implementing company procedures.

Training

Promote bar service standards through leading by example. Ensure all steps of service are being followed and remind staff where needed. Be knowledgeable in all products. Be a primary point of contact for new and old staff members to answer any product/service questions. Challenge staff to constantly improve service. Assist in the inducting and training of new staff members.

Day to Day

Lead by example on the bar with bar standards and etiquette set by the business. Circulate the bar and outdoor areas to make sure all visible areas are clear of dirty glasses/plates, broken glass, rubbish, spillages and vulnerable/drunk people. Watch the pouring technique and specs used by other bar staff to ensure stock is controlled. Watch for incorrect products put through the till for effective stock control. Quiz staff on product knowledge and cocktail specs Observing the customer service provided by bartenders and giving advice on how to improve/praise when doing well Motivate staff to increase morale- when staff are happy and supported that reflects in the customer service that they provide Monitor staff opening, closing and prep jobs Assigning shift plans and breaks to staff Delegating responsibilities to other bartenders to utilise your time and make the shift more efficient
