Job Description

Experienced bar manager/supervisor required for a busy hotel, pub and restaurant situated in the beautiful Peak District village of Hathersage. Live in accommodation available rent free.

We seek a bar manager/ supervisor to help train and develop the team.

The following duties are required:

Training other members of the front of house team. Running and working alongside a team of front of house staff covering both drink and food service. Taking calls and answering emails for table, party and hotel room reservations. Line cleaning Interacting with guests to ensure they have the best experience. This includes checking guests into rooms, taking food and drink orders and assisting with any needs as required. Stock and cellar management. Maintain a high level of cleanliness both on the bar and in the restaurant areas. Closing up the bar at the end of the night.
The Little John Hotel is a country pub and restaurant with 14 en-suite rooms. Family owned for the last 33 years, Steph and her team look forward to welcoming you on board.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

Experience of successfully running a bar within the hotel/pub sector. Friendly, trustworthy, and attentive to customer needs. The ability to work flexibly as both part of a team, with other front of house members and kitchen staff, and also individually. Personal license (desired but not essential). Health and Hygiene Level 2 (desired but not essential). Good spoken and written English. Intuitive and able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. The ability to demonstrate competence in the duties outlined in the job description above.
The successful candidate will be required to work weekends and must have their own transport. On-site free parking is available for staff and a meal can be provided during your shift.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
