Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Barback to join our vibrant team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As a Barback, you will play a crucial role in supporting bartenders and ensuring the smooth operation of the bar. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation of drinks, collecting and washing glassware, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that the bar is well-stocked at all times. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in bartending and develop their skills within the hospitality industry.

Duties

Assist bartenders with drink preparation and service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils. Stock and replenish supplies such as spirits, mixers, garnishes, and ice as needed. Help manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and notifying management when reordering is necessary. Communicate effectively with bartenders and other staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Support food preparation efforts as required, collaborating with kitchen staff to enhance customer satisfaction. Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with company policies and local regulations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers. A passion for hospitality and providing excellent customer service. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic knowledge of bartending techniques and drink recipes is beneficial but can be taught on the job. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the business needs.

Pay: 12.21 per hour
