We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of the cafe during busy periods. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders accurately Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including handling light snacks or baked goods Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas throughout shifts Manage cash register operations and handle transactions accurately Restock supplies and ensure the cafe remains well-organised during service periods Uphold health and safety regulations in accordance with company policies

Skills

Prior experience as a Barista or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures Experience in serving customers with professionalism and friendliness Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients Ability to prepare food and beverages efficiently while maintaining quality standards Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met consistently
Hours are Monday 8-4pm and Tuesday 11-4pm however possiblity of more hours over time.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-15.13 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 16 per week
