Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Barista / bar team member to join our Sunday team. As a key member of our establishment, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patrons, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while efficiently managing cafe and bar operations. Your role will involve preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to a positive guest experience.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with established recipes and standards. Use of a commercial coffee machine to prepare a range of coffees. Serving cakes, bakes and food and maintaining a clean and appealing display. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the bar area. Assist in food preparation as required, ensuring timely service and presentation of food items. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and efficiently while providing recommendations when necessary. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality. Handle cash transactions accurately, demonstrating basic maths skills for processing payments. Maintain stock levels by monitoring inventory and assisting with ordering supplies as needed. Opening and closing cleaning and housekeeping duties including cleaning tables, back of house and public areas. Work collaboratively with team members to create a harmonious work environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a bar or hospitality setting and barista level coffee making experience. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and processing orders accurately. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers and colleagues alike. A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adapting to changing demands within the role. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour
