Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our rand new team at the Westcountry Larder at Parkway Station, Tiverton. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while expertly preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that each customer has an exceptional experience.

Duties

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while ensuring freshness and quality. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately and efficiently. Handle cash transactions and operate the till with basic math skills for accurate billing. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and support each other during peak hours.

Skills

Previous barista experience is highly desirable, showcasing your ability to craft beverages with skill and flair. Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills. Proficient in food preparation techniques, ensuring all items are prepared to the highest standards. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and efficiently. Exceptional time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during busy shifts.
