Barista / Front of House

Cafe Utopia - Kingsway Centre, Newport

A thoughtfully curated new cafe is opening soon in the Kingsway Centre. Our focus? Beautifully made coffee, cold-pressed juices, fresh seasonal salads, artisan quiches, toasties, and indulgent sweet bakes -- all served in a calm, welcoming space designed with care.

We're looking for a barista or front-of-house team member who values quality, pace, and genuine hospitality. Someone who takes pride in the details, whether that's pouring the perfect flat white or creating a moment of calm in someone's busy day.

The Role

You'll help shape the daily rhythm of the space -- crafting drinks, preparing fresh food, serving customers, and keeping the environment clean, warm and stylish. As one of our first team members, this is a rare opportunity to help establish a new standard for coffee and service in Newport.

We're Looking For:

Prior barista experience is ideal We're open to providing training for the right person with strong hospitality instincts Warm, confident, and naturally engaging with customers Precise and calm under pressure, even during a busy rush A keen eye for presentation and an appreciation for quality produce Happy to pitch in wherever needed -- from prepping salads to restocking shelves
