Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the bar team, including bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff, ensuring efficient service delivery
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards
Manage daily operations, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety procedures
Develop innovative drink menus and promotional offers to attract customers
Train staff on service techniques, food safety practices, and responsible alcohol service
Handle customer enquiries and resolve any complaints promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
Monitor sales performance and prepare reports for management review
Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of beverages and ingredients
Organise staff schedules to optimise coverage during peak hours
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a hospitality environment, preferably in bars or restaurants
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices
Experience in food safety standards and compliance regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations
Previous restaurant or hotel experience is highly desirable
Barista experience or expertise in serving beverages is advantageous
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
