The newly refurbished Wellingtons Bar, part of Southern Ayr Ltd, is a busy and vibrant venue located in the heart of Ayr at the prestigious Wellington Square. At Wellingtons we are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, with live entertainment most evenings. Our ideal addition to the team should be organised, attentive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting, where they can showcase their exceptional cocktail skills.

Responsibilities and Skills

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring high standards of presentation and quality Greet guests warmly and take their orders accurately while providing friendly and attentive service throughout their visit Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area Till operations, handle payments efficiently, and provide correct change Restock bar supplies as needed and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages Ensure responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and adhering to licensing laws Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods Uphold health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for both staff and guests Proven experience in hospitality is highly desirable Strong knowledge of alcohol service practices Excellent serving skills with the ability to engage positively with customers Good organisational skills to manage multiple orders efficiently in a busy setting Effective time management to ensure prompt service during peak hours Friendly personality with excellent communication skills Ability to stay calm under pressure and work effectively as part of a team Flexibility as evening and weekend work is necessary
