Overview

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team at The Queen of Hope Street pub. All applicants must be able to work over the festive period (we are closed Christmas Day)

The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a knack for creating memorable experiences for our guests.

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages while ensuring the highest standards of service and food safety are maintained.

This role requires excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and making recommendations based on their preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service practices. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments. Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed. Stay informed about new drink recipes, trends in the industry, and seasonal offerings to enhance guest experience.

Qualifications

Previous bartending experience is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Strong knowledge of drink recipes, cocktail preparation techniques. Excellent hospitality skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Good time management abilities to handle busy periods effectively while maintaining quality service. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing outstanding service.
