Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain a clean and organised bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking drink orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences. Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic math skills for processing payments. Monitor customer behaviour to ensure responsible alcohol service, intervening when necessary to promote safety. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable. Uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the bar area.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, showcasing knowledge of beverage preparation and service. Strong hospitality skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment for guests. Familiarity with food safety practices is essential to maintain health regulations. Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods. Basic math skills are necessary for processing transactions accurately.
