Job Description

We're hiring for a summer role during the Edinburgh Fringe season. Salt Horse is looking for front of house staff / bartenders to join our small, friendly team in the heart of the Old Town.

This is a temporary position starting in the run-up to the Edinburgh Fringe and running through to September, with a strong possibility of part-time or full-time work continuing beyond that for the right person.

Whether you're an experienced bartender or someone with a great attitude who's keen to learn, we'd love to hear from you.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, Salt Horse stands out as an easy-going, friendly bar that specialises in excellent food and drink in a casual setting. With 14 draught lines and around 200 bottles and cans, we're a beer-focused venue, with a small curated list of wines and spirits. Our passion extends beyond drinks; our kitchen prides itself on crafting top-notch food, with a menu that includes excellent burgers and diverse vegan/vegetarian options. We are on the hunt for enthusiastic front of house staff / bartenders who share our passion for great drinks and exceptional service. Whether you're a seasoned pro behind the bar or new to the scene with a interest in craft beer and a knack for great customer service, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

Deliver outstanding customer service to all guests. Share and expand your knowledge of craft beers with customers. Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a clean and inviting bar environment.

What We Value

A proactive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude. Excellent communication skills. A desire to learn and grow within the craft beer community. Previous experience in customer service and/or craft beer roles is advantageous but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
