The Battery Test Department is tasked with delivering testing services for Battery/Module/Cell, encompassing assessments of performance, life cycle, durability, abuse, and strip and rate. In this role, you will conduct a variety of Battery tests (such as Performance, life cycle, durability, safety, abuse, and environmental), collaborating with a team of engineers and technicians to organize and execute testing activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and prepare internal tests, following regulatory requirements and establishing documentation.
  • Undertake analysis of results, ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures.
  • Programming and calibration of test equipment.
  • Apply improvement methods to activities, ensuring testing processes are ever improving
Skills:
  • Boasts a sound knowledge of electrical principles and battery fundamentals and is capable of programming automation or software applications.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools such as multi meters, oscilloscopes, and clamp meters.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with an ability to collaborate with other engineers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience performing testing within a lab or workshop environment.
  • Worked in the design or development of lithium batteries (desirable).
  • Experience with EV vehicles (desirable).
  • Experience with CAN (desirable).
  • Development of test rig apparatus.
  • Writing technical reports.
Qualifications:

Qualified to bachelor\'s degree or equivalent with appropriate experience preferably within the automotive sector.

  • Flexibility to work outside normal hours and to support validation activities in foreign countries.
  • Full UK driving license.
