Due to continued growth and success, my client is looking for a talented BD Specialist to join the highly regarded BD team in London, focusing on M&A and Private Equity across EMEA. As a Business Development Specialist, you'll be at the heart of the action - partnering with senior leaders, lawyers, and global teams to drive growth, win new business, and elevate the firm's profile. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves variety, challenge, and the buzz of working at the centre of a high-performing team.
What You'll Do

  • Craft compelling bespoke pitches, RFPs, and award submissions, in close collaboration with the wider team.
  • Collaborate with senior BD colleagues and practice heads to identify new opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
  • Keep meetings on track--setting agendas, capturing actions, and ensuring follow-through.
  • Track progress against business plans, driving initiatives forward.
  • Undertake market and client research, spotting trends and insights that give the team an edge.
  • Coordinate engaging events, from seminars to webinars and sponsorships, working closely with the Events team.
  • Collaborate with PR, Marketing, Digital, and Content teams to deliver seamless campaigns and initiatives.
  • Pitch in on projects across other practice groups and regions.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience of business development within professional services, ideally in a corporate law firm.
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) with a keen interest in M&A and Private Equity.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • An approach that is analytical and detail-oriented, with experience of turning data into actionable insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to take initiative and get buy-in from stakeholders.
  • Tech-savvy, especially with Microsoft Office tools.
Equal Opportunities:
As a responsible business, it is important that we represent the diversity of our people, our clients and our communities. We believe that the firms that thrive are those with the most diverse team; that's why we work so hard to source the best talent from the broadest pool possible. As an equal opportunity employer, we strive to accommodate anyone who may have specific needs. If you require reasonable adjustments to be made during the selection process, please talk to a member of the recruitment team so that any required adjustments can be made in advance.
