Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Beader to join our commercial aluminium fabrication team. The Beader plays a key role in the final stages of production, preparing, fitting, and securing glazing beads and gaskets to aluminium window, door, and curtain wall systems.

This position is suited to someone with excellent attention to detail and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring all finished units meet our high standards for quality, precision, and safety on commercial projects such as offices, schools, and industrial developments.

Key Responsibilities:

Fit and secure glazing beads to aluminium frames for doors, windows, shopfronts, and curtain wall systems.

Measure, cut, and prepare beads and gaskets to exact tolerances using hand tools and machinery.

Check frame dimensions and ensure correct alignment before and after beading.

Inspect and clean completed frames to ensure they are ready for dispatch or installation.

Identify and report any fabrication or material defects.

Work closely with the fabrication and glazing teams to maintain smooth workflow.

Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and maintain a clean, organised work area.

Contribute to maintaining high product quality and meeting production deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

Previous experience in aluminium fabrication, glazing, or assembly work.

Competence using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.

Desirable:

Experience with commercial aluminium systems (e.g., Comar, Senior, Exlabesa etc.).

Familiarity with beading, gasket fitting, or glazing preparation.

Forklift or machinery operation experience (training can be provided).
