on a subcontractor basis
. This hands-on role involves the precise preparation and assembly of sliding wardrobes ensuring every product meets our high-quality standards.
About the Role
We're looking for a skilled and reliable
Fitter
to join our growing team. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for installing high-quality wardrobes and associated furniture in customers' homes and commercial spaces. You'll take pride in delivering an excellent finish and ensuring every installation meets the customer's exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble sliding and hinged wardrobes, h-bar, tracks, wheels, and MFC panels
Operate power tools and machinery safely and accurately
Check components for quality and correct measurements before final assembly
Load and unload deliveries of materials and finished goods
Maintain a clean and organized environment
Follow technical drawings and cutting lists
Work as part of a team to meet production deadlines
Assist with general workshop duties as required
Adhere to health & safety policies and procedures
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
Experience working in a workshop or manufacturing environment
Confident using woodworking tools and machinery
Ability to read and interpret measurements and technical drawings
Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
Previous experience working with sliding wardrobe systems, cabinetry or carpentry
FLT license or experience operating forklifts/pallet trucks
Basic knowledge of materials such as glass, mirror, and MFC
Own van prefered
