services, and we're looking for caring, energetic, and committed individuals to join our growing team of
Practitioners and Playworkers
.
You'll play a key role in delivering a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment before and after school - helping children feel supported, stimulated, and happy.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, engage and inspire children during structured and free-play activities.
Support with daily routines such as snack time, transitions, and group games.
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote confidence, teamwork, and wellbeing.
Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all children in your care.
Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and the wider team.
Set up and maintain a clean, safe, and inviting play space.
Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and first aid procedures at all times.
What We're Looking For
Experience working with children in a school, nursery, or youth setting.
A warm, approachable, and enthusiastic personality.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to inclusive, child-centred care.
Ability to plan or support with structured activities.
Basic understanding of safeguarding and child development.
*Desirable (but not essential)
Level 2/3 in Childcare, Play work, Education or equivalent.
Paediatric First Aid or willingness to complete training.
DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain via Awaken Education).
Full UK but not essential).
Our Wrap Around Care service is ideal for working parents or those with busy schedules, offering a safe, reliable, and engaging environment for children before and after school. If your child attends the host school or a nearby school, you may be eligible for
free childcare places
through government schemes such as Tax-Free Childcare or Universal Credit. We make the process simple and flexible -- helping families access quality care without the added financial pressure.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 12.50-15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 - 15 per week
