We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mentor to support the development and well-being of children within our educational and childcare programmes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience with early childhood education, and a passion for mentoring young learners. Responsibilities
Provide personalised mentoring to children, supporting their emotional and behavioural development through positive reinforcement and behaviour management techniques.
Assist with early childhood education activities, including literacy, numeracy, and physical education programmes.
Implement specialised programmes such as speech therapy, applied behaviour analysis (ABA), or tutoring to meet individual needs.
Support children with special educational needs by adapting activities and creating inclusive learning experiences.
Foster a safe, engaging, and supportive environment that encourages children's curiosity and independence.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to monitor progress and develop tailored support plans.
Maintain accurate records of children's development and behaviour for programme evaluation purposes.
Proofread educational materials and activity plans to ensure clarity and appropriateness for young learners.
Assist in organising childcare activities that promote social skills, physical development, and emotional resilience.
Skills
Proven experience in early childhood education or childcare settings, including preschool or toddler care.
Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques suitable for young children.
Knowledge of speech therapy strategies and applied behaviour analysis (ABA) is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs, including special education requirements.
Experience in tutoring or teaching physical education can be advantageous.
Organised with attention to detail when proofreading educational content or tracking developmental progress.
