, who can build trust, provide structure, and encourage positive behaviour through active engagement and consistent support.

The Role
As a 1:1 Behaviour Mentor, you will:
Support a KS2 boy with
ADHD
and
SEMH needs
on a one-to-one basis.
Build a trusting, respectful relationship, offering a
positive role model
.
Identify triggers and step in early to
help the child regulate emotions
before behaviours escalate.
Use
movement-based and sports-related activities
as part of your engagement strategy.
Provide regular breaks, emotional check-ins, and consistent routines.
Work closely with the SENCO, class teacher, and external agencies to follow a personalised behaviour plan.
Help reintegrate the child into classroom learning after emotional or behavioural episodes.
Who We're Looking For
Experience working with children with
SEMH
,
ADHD
, or behavioural challenges.
Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a calm, firm approach.
A background in
sports coaching, youth work, or physical education
is highly desirable.
Confident managing behaviour and setting clear boundaries in a nurturing way.
Able to work independently while collaborating with a wider support team.
