Job Summary

: As a Belt Fabricator at Techbelt, your responsibilities include fabricating and assembling various components used in industrial conveyor systems. You will ensure the highest quality of production by marking, cutting, and assembling sections, inspecting finished products, and performing quality checks.






Responsibilities:




Fabrication and Assembly: + Mark cutting lines according to specification and drawings provided by our the sales office. Cut belt materials using knives, scissors, or power cutting machines.
+ The use of welding equipment will also be employed both in house and on the customers site address.
+ Ensure accurate measuring at all times.
+ Keep your work area clean and tidy and put all tolls away after shifts.
Sealing and Finishing: + Apply various materials to seal belt edges, seal with hot irons or electric-sealing machines, and trim excess material.
+ Inspect belts for defects such as smeared paint, cuts, and wrinkled seams.
Quality Control: + Check to ensure belts meet quality standards and the specification required.
+ All belts to be checked and signed for at each stage of manufacture.
+ Apply relevant labels to outer packaging to prevent accidental blade cutting when the customer opens the package
Packaging and Handling: + All belts are to be clean, fold or roll finished products on to suitable packaging and prepare them for shipment.
+ Record the number of articles packed and maintain accurate inventor
Equipment Operation: + Adequate training is needed to operate our machinery.
+ Abide by signs on the machines and do not operate until training is complete.
Maintenance and Safety: + Maintain a clean and organized work environment, follow safety procedures, and perform routine maintenance on fabrication tools and equipment.

Qualifications:




Experience: + Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication role, especially with plastic or PTFE materials, is highly desirable.
Skills: + Proficiency in using cutting tools (knife, scissors, power cutting machines), sealing equipment (hot iron, electric-sealing machine), and inspection methods.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and rectify defects.
Technical Knowledge: + Understanding of plastic and PTFE properties, especially related to high-temperature resistance and non-stick features.
+ Familiarity with quality control practices.
Physical Requirements: + Ability to handle and manipulate materials, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
Education: + Technical or vocational training in manufacturing or a related field is a plus.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively, A driving license (Not essential but preferred) Experience with a sewing machine is advantageous



Total Compensation:






Annual pay review Complete training provided if needed Based in-house at our Elland facility 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Occasional overtime Pension provided * 23 days holiday plus Statutory
