Bench Joiner

Location: Enfield, North London

Salary: 28,000 - 38,000 per year (depending on experience, higher rates available for the right candidate)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm (with flexibility available for the right candidate)

We are a well-established joinery workshop based in Enfield, North London, specialising in the manufacture of high-quality timber sash windows, casement windows, and bespoke doors. We pride ourselves on traditional craftsmanship and delivering premium products to our clients.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bench Joiner to join our workshop team. You will be responsible for the manufacture of a wide range of bespoke timber windows and doors. The role involves working from detailed job sheets and drawings, machining components, assembling joinery, and preparing products for finishing.

For the right candidate with general carpentry experience and a good attitude, we would be happy to provide training in traditional window and door manufacturing. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company and develop specialist skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacture sash windows, casement windows, front doors, and bi-fold doors from Accoya timber. Interpret job sheets and workshop drawings accurately. Operate and maintain machinery including spindle moulders, planers, tenoners, and saws. Assemble products to a high standard, including fitting hinges and locks where required. Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment. Occasionally assist with deliveries or loading finished items (some heavy lifting involved).
Requirements:

Previous experience in a joinery workshop is preferred. Good carpentry knowledge essential; experience with timber windows and doors is an advantage. Able to work independently with good attention to detail. Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks. Punctual, reliable, and able to follow workshop processes.
