Highland Joinery and Glazing Limited is a long-established manufacturer of timber products such as sash and case windows, casement windows, doors, stairs, cabinetry and other bespoke products. The company is based in Inverness, and has access to modern and highly capable machines, including a 5 axis pod and rail CNC milling centre.
We are seeking a skilled Bench Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, have an eye for detail and have the ability to work in a close-knit team, as well as being able to work independently. Candidates with joinery experience are preferred, however we would also consider those with the right attributes who are looking for a career change and are driven to become a bench joiner.
The role is diverse, with the successful candidate being involved in all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure items are produced to meet clients' deadlines in a timely manner with a focus on quality. From time to time there may also be the need for site work; fitting projects that have been produced in the workshop.
Responsibilities
Produce timber products as per supplied specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality control throughout the joinery process.
Produce items to meet production timescales
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
Manage your own workload while collaborating with the wider workshop team
Operate safely, following the company's health and safety policy
Work to a variety of specifications
Requirements
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently
Comfortable following procedures and willing to take initiative when required
A positive and energetic attitude towards all aspects of the role
Proficiency in using power tools safely and effectively.
Knowledge of joinery techniques and best practices.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
A valid driver's licence
