As a Bereavement Operations Team Leader you will oversee a team carrying out burial, cremation, grounds maintenance and other operational duties at sites across Cheshire East including Macclesfield, Congleton, Alderley and Wilmslow.
The role involves workload planning, HR processes, procurement, health and safety matters and operational duties. The main responsibilities are:

  • Planning the allocation of human and other resources appropriately to ensure safe and timely completion of required tasks.
  • Ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant legislation, guidance and procedures and to the required standard.
  • Various HR processes including team meetings, 1-2-1s, absence management, performance management, training and investigations.
  • Undertaking training in preparation of graves, use of grounds maintenance equipment, operations of cremators, memorial safety testing and other operational duties.
  • Ensuring materials and equipment required are available and, where relevant, properly maintained and deployed.
