Main Tasks and Responsibilities

===================================

The focus of the role is to deliver consultancy services in relation to procurement, construction and commissioning of grid-scale energy storage systems. This is a rapidly growing business area for Natural Power alongside our wind and solar activities. The role sits within a wider team of energy storage technology and market experts and will involve a combination of desk-based and site-based work. Experience with energy storage projects is preferred, but we also encourage candidates with a strong background in construction for wind, solar or other energy generation technologies to apply.

Supporting pre-construction and construction phase services for energy storage projects, drawing on expertise from the wider team where required. A typical scope could involve assisting with the specification and procurement of a client's energy storage scheme or acting as Resident Engineer, or Project Manager for a project during the construction and commissioning phase.

Assisting clients and colleagues with technical and design queries. Preparing specifications or Employer's Requirements for an energy storage scheme. Assisting clients and colleagues with supplier and contractor negotiations for BESS, BoP or EPC contracts. Preparing reports to monitor construction progress and quality. Interacting proactively with colleagues, clients, contractors and other project stakeholders (e.g. grid), demonstrating the ability to manage complex and challenging renewable energy projects. Delivering assigned tasks on time and within budget. Contributing to internal knowledge sharing initiatives.

This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

We will offer an engaging, collaborative and fast-paced environment alongside an excellent benefits package, including generous annual leave, flexible working, employee assistance programme, personal insurances, health plans, discounts and salary sacrifice options.
