The post holder will co-ordinate and produce the proposal (RFI, ITT, RFP etc.). Duties include but are not limited to: Introduction and implementation of all necessary document version control procedures and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Production and delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes.
Manage and co-ordinate the production of professional bids, submissions and RFP's in liaison with Directors.
Compile and manage pre-qualification (PQQ's) and invitation to tender (ITTs) stages and on all other required stages
Coordinate proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, solutioning, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and project delivery.
Champion collaboration tools, document management and version control best practices.
Assist in the preparation of presentations and supporting materials for bid presentations and client meetings.
Ensure proposal documents follow corporate branding guidelines, standard formatting and quality standards.
Provide advice on flow, language and grammar to content owners.
Proofread and edit bid documents for grammar, clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Conduct research on clients, competitors, and industry trends to enhance the quality and competitiveness of bid submissions
Create and maintain a central repository of bid content, including templates, case studies, and other supporting documents
Consolidate sections and/or documents developed by others team members into the required tender format.
Maintain, make available and backup master document sets.
Taking and writing meeting minutes, reports
Assisting the marketing team as required and at marketing events.
Gain feedback on all bids - successful / unsuccessful, interrogate bid results and run post-completion bid reviews to ensure continuous improvement of bid responses and high level of successful conversion / work won.
Maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders throughout the bid process
As a list of general duties, the above is not exhaustive. The work of the Scruffy Dog Group as a whole is expected to develop, and the holder of the post will be required to work flexibly with colleagues to facilitate this development.
Key Skills / Experience Required
Educational Qualification
BSc degree in Business, Marketing or relevant field or extensive equivalent proven experience in the same or similar role
APMP Apprenticeship or Foundation (Practitioner or Professional level desirable).
Additional Qualifications / certifications
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Packages
Prior experience
Familiarity with industry DTP Software
Experience with research methods using data analytics software
Professional understanding of document templates, macros and styles
Excellent writing and presentation skills
Familiarity with the themed or construction industry.
Extensive experience in a project management role
Proven ability in planning, producing and delivering compliant proposal documents within a complex business environment
