We are now looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Bid Writer Assistant to support our expanding Procurement Team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in bid writing while contributing to exciting projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and submission of construction and engineering tenders.
Support the Bid Manager in writing and editing responses to quality questions and social value submissions.
Conduct background research on clients and projects to tailor bid responses effectively.
Draft, format, and proof-read documents ensuring they are compelling, clear, and compliant.
Work collaboratively with internal teams (technical, project, commercial) to gather required information.
Maintain bid libraries and track previous responses and content for future use.
Support other procurement and administrative duties as needed.
Required Skills and Experience
Strong written English skills with a high level of attention to detail.
A background in writing, copywriting, or bid coordination is preferred.
Prior experience or knowledge of the construction or engineering industry is desirable but not essential.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Organised, proactive, and confident communicator.
Comfortable working as part of a collaborative team in a dynamic and fast-paced office environment.
Qualifications
A-Levels or equivalent qualifications as a minimum.
Alternatively, the ability to demonstrate strong proficiency in English and Maths.
A degree (particularly in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field) is preferred but not essential.
