Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Bid Writer / Tender Specialist
to join our team, either on a part-time, full-time, or freelance basis. You will be responsible for researching new business opportunities and producing high-quality written responses for PQQs, SQs, and ITTs for UK-based public and private sector bids.

Medical Instruments & Devices
Safetywear, Workwear, and Uniform Contracts
MOD, Fire, and Police Clothing Tenders
UK Government Procurement Portals (Contracts Finder, NHS Supply Chain, Crown Commercial Services)
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate tender opportunities from portals such as Contracts Finder, Find a Tender, etc.
Prepare and submit accurate and compelling PQQs, RFPs, and tender documents.
Research and interpret current legislation, guidance, and tender specifications.
Coordinate internal teams to gather required technical and pricing inputs.
Ensure all bid documents are aligned to client requirements and demonstrate compliance.
Maintain a tender library of case studies, policies, certifications, and templates.
Track and report on bid submissions and success rates.
Required Experience & Skills:
Proven track record of
successful bid writing and tender wins
, preferably in
NHS, MOD, police/fire, or PPE sectors
.
Strong project management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Excellent English writing, editing, and grammar skills.
High attention to detail and ability to interpret complex documentation.
Familiarity with frameworks such as
Crown Commercial Services, LPP, NHS Supply Chain
is an advantage.
Self-motivated, able to work independently and remotely.
