About the Role:
The Binding Authority Management Technician is responsible, in conjunction with the Binding Authority Services Manager and the overall Binding Authority Operations Manager, for ensuring that all SLA's are being met, that all data is being accurately recorded and the processes of data mapping, bordereaux uploads and data extract production runs smoothly into Liberty's data warehouse.
About the Department & Team:
The Binding Authority Management ("BAM") team is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day workflow processes of the outsourced Binder and Bordereaux mapping and upload functions provided by outsourced service providers, including Davies Group and Genpact.
Key Responsibilities:
Binding Authority Bordereaux ManagementAssisting the Binding Authority Services Manager in ensuring that all in scope binders are notified to the service provider in a timely fashion and in line with agreed SLA's. Thereafter ensuring that the service provider has set the binders up within agreed timeframes and all escalated queries are resolved,
Assisting in monitoring the mapping review and sign off function on a divisional basis ensuring that all binders pass mapping quality control checks,
Working with the outsource provider, facilitating where appropriate, the timely receipt and upload of all bordereaux for in scope binders. Act as a point of reference to assist in query resolution and to resolve bordereaux provision issues when prescribed processes do not achieve required results. Where appropriate escalate issues to the Binding Authority Services Manager.
Assisting in completing a set of regular monthly compliance checks of uploaded data, escalating potential breaches of binder terms to underwriters and the DUA team,
Overseeing the smooth transfer of data from the outsource provider to Liberty's internal data warehouse.
Assisting in the integration of any new or additional systems or processes into Liberty's existing Binding Authority Bordereaux Management process.
Working with the DDM Tide system, assisting in the integration of binders and the mapping and bordereaux upload process.
Work with Genpact is transitioning and then managing on a BAU basis, further bordereaux based business, such as Commercial contracts and Bulking Lineslips, into the DDM system.
Work closely with the outsource service providers and the Binding Authority Services Manager to ensure that all validations and breach management processes are maintained.
Working with the Binding Authority Services Manager ensuring that all Claims bordereaux are being reconciled, mapped and uploaded by the outsource service provider.
Liaising with the Binding Authority Services Manager escalating issues arising in performing the overview and checking of regular upload duties, performed by the outsource provider(s) as and when required.
Assisting the Binding Authority Services Manager in ensuring that all controls defined within the Risk Controls matrix are being adhered to and attestations are entered into the relevant Risk Control system.
Additional responsibilities include:Assist in the development and implementation of documented and measurable processes which monitor the performance and effectiveness of Liberty's outsource provider(s), including regular audits.
Assist in the re-design of the existing Outsource provider's executive reports to meet Liberty's underwriting and DUA management needs.
Provide support to Liberty's Coverholder audit function, by providing contract and declaration specific data supporting upcoming audits, as requested.

Skills and Experience:Insurance experience preferable, within the Lloyd's Market desirable, but a suitable school leaver/graduate also considered.
Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Team player, with an appreciation of the need to ensure strong links are built and maintained with other business functions and areas
An overall appreciation of how data systems operate, and a good working knowledge of Excel would be of benefit
Ability to work independently yet have good time management skills in order to meet prescribed project deadlines.
An analytical approach is required and the ability to reach conclusions further to reviewing and analysing data.
A desire to progress and develop professionally within the Liberty structure, including professional qualifications (Cert CII) as appropriate.
