About the role



An opportunity has arisen for a Blender to join our busy Advanced Remanufacturing Business, based in Wellheads, Dyce. The main purpose of this role is to carry out Blending, Metal Polishing and Fettling of on engine components and third party work.

An overview of your day



Carry out dressing and re-profiling of engine components and third party work within the required specifications Carry out surface preparation/overspray removal on engine components and third party work within the required specifications Plan and organise each task given to ensure that it complies with QHS&E Company procedures / guidelines and is completed in a timely manner Ensure correct procedures and documentation are used at all times Provide regular feedback to Supervisor on progress of each task and escalate any issues that may impact on agreed turn times Maintain good housekeeping in work areas and perform other related or comparable duties as assigned (5's) Ensure consumable levels are well stocked and inform Supervision when consumables require re-ordering Encourage and support all company QHS&E initiatives that continue to challenge and develop current procedures / practices Bring safety concerns to the attention of Supervision

What we need from you



Competent using measuring equipment Knowledge of Blending/Metal Polishing & Fettling. (Using air tools) Ability to translate technical requirements into operational instructions Understand technical drawings and specifications Knowledge of QHSE procedures and COSHH requirements Computer literacy Excellent attention to detail Good organisational, planning, communication and influencing skills Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
