The Blending / Mixing / Warehouse Operator will work within a small team to select and blend specific ingredients to prepare a range of spice products according to our strict recipes and quality specifications as per our procedures and as instructed by the Team Leader and / or Managers.
The job holder will also be trained to cover warehouse duties including selecting from stock, delivering materials and ingredients to the production lines and loading/unloading vehicles as required.

2. Hygiene
As a quality food manufacturer, effective hygiene procedures and processes are vitally important to maintain the highest food safety standards and so we operate a CAYGO (clean as you go) policy within the factory before each production run, in between each production run and at the end of each day.
Your responsibility is to keep you own work area meticulously clean and tidy and to help others in the team to do so as well.
3. Quality
To maintain the high standards of quality that our customers expect we work to exacting standards of quality which our Quality department rigorously enforce and guide the whole team.
Our quality standards apply to every aspect of the business from goods receipt, through blending and production and through packing to despatch.
It is your responsibility, and vitally important, for you to record all activities and to follow the guidance and instructions of our Quality Team.
4. Efficiency
Every aspect of our operation and our production equipment needs to be kept running continuously to ensure the future profitability of the company but in particular, the filling machines, they are the heartbeat of the operation with all the activity before and after filling kept running at a higher speed to keep the fillers running.
It is your responsibility to work with the team to do whatever is required to keep the production operation running.
5. Cost Control
To maintain a profitable business it is important that every aspect of the operation minimises wastage, including time, raw materials, and packaging.
It is your responsibility to maximise operational time, to control batch weights of ingredients used and to minimise any wastage of product or packaging.
6. Teamworking
We work better when we work with our colleagues and for each other making our workplace safe and clean and efficient and ultimately, we all work in a successful business.
It is your responsibility to work with, and co-operate at all times, with your colleagues, the Team Leaders, Supervisors and Managers and to feel free to raise issues and submit suggestions for the benefit of all.
