Responsibilities
Assist in dismantling, repairing, and reassembling lorry and trailer components
Perform basic bodywork tasks, such as panel repairs, dent removal, and surface refinishing
Prepare surfaces for painting and assist in applying primer, paint, and other coatings
Help with welding, grinding, and cutting tasks on metal and trailer structures
Assist in removing and replacing damaged parts like doors, panels, and chassis
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment
Support senior technicians with heavy lifting, equipment handling, and various workshop tasks
Follow safety protocols and ensure all work meets industry standards
Skills
Strong physical fitness and the ability to work with large vehicle parts
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in lorry and trailer repair
Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics or a strong willingness to learn
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly
Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
Safety-conscious and reliable with a strong work ethic
Prior experience in mechanical or bodywork environments is a bonus but not required
