The Boiling Operator is responsible for preparing and cooking product mixtures in accordance with standard operating procedures. This role involves accurately measuring ingredients, operating boiling equipment, and monitoring cooking processes to ensure product consistency, safety, and quality. The operator must work collaboratively with other production staff and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities1. Ingredient Preparation
Measure and prepare raw materials and liquid ingredients based on product specifications.
Set up cooking pots or vessels and ensure correct quantities for each batch.
Ensure all ingredients are handled and stored safely according to food safety guidelines.
2. Equipment Setup & Operation
Prepare and light cooking or boiling equipment as required for production.
Understand variations between equipment units and adjust timing or settings accordingly.
Monitor and control heating levels during the cooking process.
3. Cooking & Monitoring
Stir mixtures consistently to promote even heating and prevent sticking or burning.
Add ingredients at specific stages according to procedural guidelines.
Use visual and temperature checks to monitor cooking progress and identify readiness.
4. Safety & Spill Control
Follow safety protocols when handling hot liquids and equipment.
Use appropriate tools or techniques to prevent boil-overs or spills.
Wear required PPE and use correct lifting methods for handling heavy pots.
5. Quality Assurance
Check mixture consistency and temperature with appropriate instruments.
Follow batch tracking and documentation procedures accurately.
Report any variations, incidents, or batch issues to the supervisor promptly.
6. Cleaning & End-of-Shift Duties
Clean cooking areas and equipment following hygiene and safety standards.
Dispose of waste materials properly and restock supplies for the next shift.
