Job Description

Modus Accountants are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic bookkeeper/administrator to join the team at their offices at Frilford Heath Golf Club near Abingdon.

Bookkeeping experience would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided. You'll be interacting with clients on a regular basis so confidence and a friendly, professional manner are essential.

Modus Accountants is based in Frilford near Abingdon. Specialising in supporting start-ups, SME businesses and HNWIs. Founded in 2018, Modus has grown quickly and is now a well-established firm with a fantastic local client base. Providing high quality accountancy services delivered quickly and efficiently.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complete bookkeeping tasks, including VAT returns and CIS for a portfolio of clients Answer and direct phone calls and liaise with clients Assist with filings to Companies House including company secretarial services Assist with client/HMRC registrations Assist with credit control Assist with the onboarding process for new clients

QUALIFICATIONS:

Full UK driving license.

SKILLS:

Good interpersonal and relationship building skills Excellent verbal and written communication You must be a team player with a positive - 'can do' approach Methodical and able to manage time and meet deadlines Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Experience with Xero accounting software is preferred but not essential Proactive nature and ability to work in a small team environment Ability to learn new skills and problem solve

JOB TYPES: Full-time. Permanent

Pay: 25,000 to 29,000 per year, depending on experience
