We're a growing family-run pie business, proudly making award-winning pies using the best local ingredients. As things get busier, we're looking for an experienced and reliable

Bookkeeper

to help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

You'll be joining a small, friendly team where everyone chips in, and where your work really makes a difference.

What you'll be doing:

Keeping our financial records accurate and up to date using

Sage 50

. Monitoring the accounts email inbox and saving invoices and financial documents. Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank transactions, and payments. Recording daily shop cash and card sales from Excel spreadsheets. Preparing and making weekly supplier payments via online banking. Reconciling bank accounts and petty cash weekly, and sorting out any discrepancies. Checking supplier statements and resolving any issues. Chasing overdue payments and managing credit control. Preparing VAT returns, PAYE payments, and other regular finance tasks. Supporting the smooth running of the office by helping with admin when needed, including answering the phone. Talking to customers and help with any ordering queries

What we're looking for:

At least

5 years' bookkeeping experience

and a relevant qualification (

AAT or equivalent

). Confident using

Sage 50

and

Microsoft Office

. A good understanding of basic accounting principles. Someone with great attention to detail and accuracy. Able to work independently and manage their own workload. Organised, professional, and approachable. A problem-solver with good common sense. Someone who enjoys being part of a small, hard-working team.
Hours can range between 20-25 hours per week Monday - Friday can be 3-5 day working. The business closes at 4pm start time can be flexible .

Pay: 13.00-14.50 per hour
