Goose + Berry, an award-winning event catering company, is looking for an experienced
Bookkeeper
to join the team at our Maidenhead office. This role focuses on managing the day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration for a busy and growing business, ensuring accuracy and smooth financial operations.
You'll be responsible for:
Bookkeeping:
Processing supplier and customer invoices, payments, and maintaining accurate financial records
Payroll Support:
Assisting with the preparation and processing of payroll
Bank Reconciliations:
Completing regular and accurate reconciliations
Financial Reporting:
Assisting with monthly accounts and basic performance reports
VAT & Tax:
Supporting the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory submissions
Supplier & Customer Management:
Handling queries and maintaining good working relationships
Process Improvement:
Helping to streamline systems and improve efficiency
We're looking for someone who:
Is AAT qualified, part-qualified, or has relevant bookkeeping experience
Has previous experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role
Is confident working independently and managing core bookkeeping tasks
Has strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Can manage multiple deadlines calmly and effectively
Is familiar with Xero (or similar accounting software - Xero preferred)
Maintains a high level of integrity and professionalism
