Sirius Accountancy Group is a growing and forward-thinking accountancy and business services firm, providing tailored support to a wide range of clients across the UK. As our business continues to expand, we are seeking a professional and experienced Bookkeeper & Payroll Manager to join our remote team on a part-time basis.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
Process sales and purchase invoices, payments, receipts, and expenses
-Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
-Prepare and submit VAT returns
Manage and run end-to-end weekly and monthly payrolls using BrightPay (or similar)
Handle pension submissions and auto-enrolment duties
Liaise with clients and HMRC regarding payroll and bookkeeping queries
Support with management accounts and year-end processes
Assist with general finance admin tasks as needed
Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in bookkeeping and payroll
Solid understanding of UK payroll legislation and pension processes
Proficiency in BrightPay, Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
Microsoft Office skills -- primarily Outlook, Word, and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Accurate, well organised and detail-oriented
Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills
Ability to hit the ground running and work independently from day one
AAT qualified or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
UK-based with a reliable internet connection
Professional, friendly, and client-focused

Pay: 18,018.00 per year
