Motor 4 U Ltd is a high-volume used car dealership and service centre, retailing over 3,000 vehicles per year. We are seeking an

Experienced Bookkeeper

to join our growing team. This vital role involves maintaining accurate financial records for all areas of the business, including car sales, workshop operations, and other revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily bookkeeping duties across the entire company Process and reconcile sales, purchases, and workshop transactions Monitor accounts payable and receivable Perform daily bank reconciliations Maintain ledgers and journals in compliance with accounting standards Prepare VAT returns and assist with payroll when required Generate financial reports and management summaries for senior leadership Liaise with accountants for year-end procedures Track daily cash flow and report discrepancies Ensure all entries are accurately posted into accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)

Requirements:

Minimum

5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience

Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices Previous experience in

automotive or retail industries

preferred Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks, Sage Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy Strong organisational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and handle sensitive financial information confidentially
