Legal Futures is a news, training and conference provider to the legal sector. We publish daily news content, produce digital e-learning products for lawyers and run annual face-to-face conferences.
We are now seeking a part-time bookkeeper/credit controller to take end-to-end responsibility for our finance function. This is a remote role, part-time for 10-12 hours per week with flexibility in days/times. This can either be on an employed or freelance basis.
Main duties:
Daily raising and issuing of customer invoices across our full product range
Credit control
Reconciling the bank accounts on Xero
Reconciling card payments via Stripe
Setting up and managing direct debits via GoCardless
Inputting supplier invoices onto Xero using HubDoc
Updating the CRM with contact information and managing tasks
Dealing with any customer queries related to invoicing and payments
Record keeping for all finance-related matters
Assisting external accountant with year-end processes
What we are looking for:
Essential:
At least three years' experience in accounts/finance in a similar role
Expert-level knowledge of Xero
Excellent IT literacy, and experience of using Stripe, GoCardless and CRMs
Strong skills in Excel, and knowledge of other MS Office products
Attention to detail
Able to manage own workload and use initiative
Swift learner who can quickly understand our different products and services
Desirable:
Used to working in a small business or part of a small team
Experience of publishing, conferences or e-learning businesses

Pay: 26.00 per hour
