Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper/Office Administrator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires proficiency in accounting software Sage 50 Accounts and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles. The role will also include some company administration work, for example, fleet management and booking of appointments.

Responsibilities



Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals. Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers. Reconcile bank statements, including client accounts, and resolve discrepancies. Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements. Prepare VAT returns and landlord returns Provide holiday cover for the client account bookkeeper

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role. Proficiency in Sage accounting software. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and bookkeeping principles. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
