Ormerod Rutter are recruiting an assertive and ambitious Bookkeeping Apprentice for their Droitwich offices. Bookkeeping is a thrilling, highly respected and well-rewarded profession. How do bookkeeping apprenticeships work?



An apprenticeship in bookkeeping is split between employment with the firm and external studies. One day a week might be spent working towards your formal qualification; the rest is spent working developing practical and relevant skills.

Responsibilities:



As a Bookkeeping Apprentice, you will work closely with our experienced team to support day-to-day accounting operations. You will learn to:

Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software

Process invoices, receipts, and payments

Reconcile bank statements

Assist with VAT returns and management accounts

Communicate with clients to gather and clarify information

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies

About You



We're looking for someone who is:

Eager to learn and build a career in finance

Detail-oriented and organised

Comfortable working with numbers and basic IT systems

A good communicator with a professional manner

Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

Qualifications Required:



GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above preferred)

Desirable:



Familiarity with Microsoft Excel

Previous part-time work or volunteering experience (any sector)
