Job Description

A female led, forward thinking Chartered Accountancy Firm is expanding from Rayleigh into Leigh on Sea and is looking for a bookkeeping apprentice

Skills you will need:

Common sense with day to day transactions at shops etc, able to read receipts from shops and businesses

Ability to problem solve and research solutions to problems

Ability to work with and learn from other team members.

Ability to take notes to learn from your own experiences.

Ability and willingness to want to learn AAT2 or AAT3 level course.

Good skills using computers and IT Software

Tasks involved on day to day basis:

Posting of purchase invoices from Hubdoc

Posting of bank transactions

Reconciliations of bank accounts

Preparation of VAT returns for review by manager

Contacting clients for missing information and records.

Assisting with CIS returns for construction clients

Our office is a friendly, down to earth environment where we work as a team and roll up our sleeves to all help towards the work deadlines in the office.

The right person to fit into this team will be a problem solver, patient to help support clients yet strategic enough to help train clients to help improve efficiency in the office.

Working hours:

We would like a full time member of staff from 9am until 5pm

Extra Holiday:

Our firm offers a package of 32 days holiday with a whole firm shut down for 2 weeks over the Christmas break.

Training:

Candidates will be under a formal apprentice training by 1-2-1 tutor support of AAT2 qualification.
