Job Title:

Brand & Graphic Designer

Location:

Unit 7, Fifth Avenue, Halstead, Essex, CO9 2SZ - Hybrid - Remote

Salary:

35 - 45,000 per annum, depending on experience

Terms:

Permanent contract on a full-time basis, 37.5 hours per week

20 days plus Bank Holidays and 1 extra day for Birthday

Pension scheme and healthcare plan are available

Reporting to:

Head of Commercial

Responsible for:

No direct reports

Internal Relationships:

Director, Head of Commercial, commercial team, wider internal departments

External Relationships:

Suppliers, agencies, printers, brand collaborators, affiliates, Retailers, Wholesalers

BACKGROUND



Catering & Exhibition is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Brand & Graphic Designer to support the evolution and delivery of compelling visual communications across the business. The successful candidate will bring a strong design aesthetic, deep understanding of brand systems, and the ability to deliver high-quality creative across print and digital platforms.

This is a key role in ensuring a consistent and engaging brand presence, supporting marketing, retail, events, and internal communications with best-in-class creative solutions.

JOB PURPOSE



The Brand & Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing and executing a wide range of creative assets that align with brand strategy and campaign objectives.

You will play a central role in shaping visual identity, maintaining brand consistency, and producing assets that drive engagement, awareness, and conversion.

This role requires a creative thinker with strong technical skills, collaborative mindset, and the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES



Design & Creative Development



Deliver effective and innovative design solutions across multiple channels, including digital, print, packaging, retail, and experiential

Design for campaigns, presentations, POS materials, web, social media, email, and merchandise

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and brand standards are met

Create and maintain templates, design systems, and guidelines to support consistency and efficiency

Develop original illustrations and infographics to enhance storytelling and brand messaging

Brand Management



Uphold and evolve the company's visual identity, ensuring consistency across all outputs

Work with the Head of Commercial and wider team to define and embed brand direction and personality

Support the development of new sub-brands, product ranges, and campaign creative

Act as a brand guardian across all internal and external touchpoints

Conduct regular audits of visual materials to ensure alignment with brand guidelines

Collaboration & Production



Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand creative needs and translate briefs into effective outcomes

Coordinate with external suppliers, including printers and packaging providers, to ensure high-quality production

Collaborate with copywriters, photographers, and other creatives as required

Provide art direction during photoshoots and other creative productions

Asset Management & Workflow



Maintain an organised digital asset library, ensuring files are accessible and up-to-date

Support marketing teams with editable templates and resources

Continuously look for ways to improve creative workflows and processes

Implement version control and archiving protocols for all design assets

General Duties



Occasional out-of-hours working in support of events and launches

Maintain a strong awareness of design trends, sustainability in production, and accessibility in design

Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions and creative reviews

Design-related degree or equivalent experience

Demonstrable experience in brand and graphic design across digital and print

Experience developing creative for retail, marketing, or lifestyle brands

Ability to manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

Strong eye for layout, colour, typography, and brand storytelling

Ability to take direction and respond to feedback constructively

Basic animation, video editing, or motion graphics

Knowledge of accessibility standards in design

Familiarity with digital design tools such as Figma or Sketch
