Superstar Sports is a family run organisation that is dedicated to inspiring young individuals aged 2 - 14 to gain a love of sport whilst allowing them to become to the best they can be. We provide fun, engaging and inclusive sports programs designed to promote physical activity, teamwork, and personal development. We are currently seeking dynamic, motivated, and flexible individuals to join our team.
We provide breakfast and after-school club provision to children aged 4 -11 within local Southampton schools. The purpose of the role is to deliver outstanding care to children who attend our breakfast and after-school programme, ensuring that they have excellent opportunities for play whilst interacting positively with staff and children, within a safe and nurturing environment.
Undertake the daily supervision of breakfast an after-school club, developing and maintaining high standards throughout to ensure the welfare of the children at all times.
Take a key role in suitably equipping the club in order to provide a stimulating environment for the children and implement policies and procedures within the after-school club.
Ensure children have access to appropriate activities to support their physical, emotional, social and intellectual development giving consideration to families' ethnic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds, ensuring that the school's Equal Opportunities Policy is adhered to.
Maintain the club to an agreed standard of cleanliness and hygiene, before, during and at the end of each session, and be responsible for all Health and Safety matters in the after-school club to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all those who use and work at the club.
Ensure that high standards are maintained with regards to how the club runs and showing how the resources (staff, premises, equipment) are used to ensure the needs of the children are met.
Complete small administrative tasks, such as completing the register and recording incidents.
To deal with any immediate problems or emergencies arising according to the school's policies and procedures.
To report back to the appropriate member of staff using the school's agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during club, or any other issues that may be relevant.
The post holder will be expected to act as an adult role model and support school policies when dealing with pupils, parents, carers, visitors and all members of the school community.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children and an ability to work with primary aged children,
Ideally Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate,
Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 9:00am & 3:00pm - 5:00pm (Term Time Only),
Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or happy to apply for one).
