You'll play a key role in delivering a memorable dining experience, from early morning service through to lunch or brunch offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a wide range of breakfast dishes including eggs, pancakes, waffles, breakfast meats, and specialty items.
Operate grill and flat-top equipment efficiently to cook proteins, vegetables, and other menu items to specification.
Prepare and plate desserts and baked goods such as pastries, tarts, cakes, and seasonal sweets.
Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality and consistency, following recipes and presentation standards.
Assist in menu development and suggest creative breakfast and dessert options.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering ingredients as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and workstations, in compliance with food safety regulations.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow and effective communication during peak times.
Handle prep work for future services including baking, marinating, and portioning.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Breakfast Cook, Grill Chef, or similar role in a busy kitchen environment.
Competency in basic pastry and dessert preparation.
Culinary degree or relevant certifications preferred but not required.
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Creativity and attention to detail in both savoury and sweet preparations.
