Your leadership skills will be essential in supervising kitchen staff and maintaining an efficient working environment.

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards. Develop and design menus that reflect current trends while considering customer preferences. Manage food production processes, including ordering, inventory control, and waste management. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Train new staff members on culinary techniques and kitchen procedures. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Assist in the development of special events or catering menus as required.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of individuals. Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines, demonstrating creativity in dish presentation. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to help others grow within the kitchen team.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 10.00-16.42 per hour

Expected hours: 14 - 20 per week
