Breakfast Chef

Job Purpose

Our demanding kitchen is looking for a new Breakfast Chef to join our team.

The successful candidate will be required to assist in the efficient running of the kitchen service during breakfast and lunch times (both plated and buffet style) as well as assist with the preparation of dinner, functions, and wedding food in the kitchen. Working as part of the team they will use their skills and good communication to ensure all safe practices are maintained in line with company standards.

The business

The Kinmel and Kinspa is a 42-bedroom, 4-star hotel and spa with an AA Rosette Restaurant, set in a beautiful rural area on the outskirts of Abergele in North Wales. It is a privately owned and successful family-run business with decades of trading under its belt.

The Kinmel is a multi-purpose venue housing a cocktail bar, two restaurants and function/events rooms accommodating weddings, celebrations, meetings, conferences and more.

The hotel itself is complimented by a luxury and popular Kinspa.

Salary:

Contract & Hours of Work

Permanent contract

5 days a week

Breakfast and lunch shifts including weekends and bank holidays

Job Responsibilities:

Keeping up with high standards of food quality at all times Ensuring standards of cleaning are kept to a high level and health/safety records are kept up to date Ensure that all start and daily procedures are completed Assist Management and other members of the team in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within the speciality section Assisting with the management of health and safety and food hygiene practice Monitoring portion and waste in the kitchen

Requirements:

Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2

Previous Breakfast chef experience desirable

Full valid Driving Licence for the UK (if not living locally)

Flexible Schedule, for Working hours
