Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with the ability to lead and inspire a kitchen team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained.

Duties

Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking in the kitchen. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain stock levels. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and menu items. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Monitor food production processes to maintain quality control and consistency.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations. Proven leadership skills with experience in supervising kitchen teams. Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Effective team management skills, fostering a positive work atmosphere. Knowledge of restaurant operations and best practices in food production.
