Responsibilities
Lead and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Plan and design menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Oversee food production processes to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen management.
Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service during meal periods.
Handle special dietary requests and cater to diverse culinary needs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment.
Monitor kitchen operations to optimize efficiency and productivity.
Experience
Proven experience as a Chef in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting.
Strong background in food service management, including menu planning and inventory management.
Experience supervising kitchen staff and managing team dynamics effectively.
Familiarity with catering services and banquet operations is a plus.
Knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant management is preferred.
