Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive kitchen experience and a strong background in food production, coupled with excellent leadership skills. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety, and managing a team of culinary professionals to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen activities, ensuring efficient food preparation and service.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
Manage food production processes, including inventory control, portioning, and waste management.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
Collaborate with management to develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
Monitor kitchen equipment to ensure proper functioning and arrange for repairs as needed.
Maintain high standards of hospitality by ensuring all dishes are served promptly and meet guest expectations.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and culinary trends.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.
A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
