We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team in the role of Breakfast Chef/CDP. Live-in is available for the right person.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and supporting the overall smooth running of the kitchen. Prior experience in a restaurant or catering setting is advantageous, but a keen willingness to learn is essential. This paid position provides valuable hands-on experience for those interested in pursuing a career in the culinary arts or hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients
Cook and prepare meals according to specified recipes and quality standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
Support with plating and presentation of dishes for service
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety standards
Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and restocking supplies as needed
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient meal service
Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff to ensure consistency and quality
Skills
Experience in food preparation or cooking within a professional setting is preferred, but a good attitude and willingness to learn is the most important need
Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
Basic culinary skills such as chopping, mixing, and basic cooking techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different kitchen routines
